What Do You Know? 1 John Chapter 5

1 John 5:13-20

Today we conclude our brief series on forgiveness.  This series has been an examination of 1 John and was used expressly to capture in our minds the lesson that John conveyed to Christians 2,000 years ago.  1 John is a message of forgiveness, assurance and victory.  Even though life sometimes drag us down, even to the point of doubting that God will do what He has promised, John writes to remind us of hope and to know that in Christ, God has redeemed us.  Then and now, Satan has used individuals and circumstances to rob Christians of their confidence, their assurance in God’s complete forgiveness.

Here’s some things to think about as we consider answers to today’s question; What Do You Know?

1.  God wants you to know that you’re _______________ in Him.  1 John 5:12, 13

2.  God wants you to know that He _____________ your prayers.  1 John 5:14-15; James 4:2; 1 John 5:16; Philippians 4:7

3.  God wants you to know that you can be _____________.  1 John 5:18-20

I pray that through John’s letter you have been reminded of the assurance of salvation that you have in Jesus Christ.  God bless you as you live for Him.  You Are Loved.
